How to Restore iPhone from Backup: 9 Steps

You may come across a glitch that freezes or slows down your phone significantly, and wish to restore your iPhone to a previous backup. You'll have to do this through a factory reset that wipes your phone of its data and settings, and then choose an iCloud or iTunes backup to restore your phone to. This article will walk you through both methods.
STEPS
METHOD 1 OF 2: RESTORE AN ITUNES BACKUP
1
CONNECT YOUR IPHONE TO YOUR COMPUTER VIA USB.
2
SELECT YOUR IPHONE FROM THE LIST OF DEVICES IN ITUNES.
3
RIGHT-CLICK ON THE DEVICE NAME AND SELECT "RESTORE FROM BACKUP." You can then select which backup you'd like to restore to.
Alternatively, click the "Restore" button on the Summary page on iTunes.

4
FOLLOW THE PROMPTS.
METHOD 2 OF 2: RESTORE AN ICLOUD BACKUP

LAUNCH YOUR SETTINGS UP FROM YOUR IPHONE.
3
TAP GENERAL, THEN SCROLL DOWN AND TAP RESET.
4
CHOOSE "ERASE ALL CONTENT AND SETTINGS."
