STEPS
METHOD 1 OF 2: FINDING YOUR WIRELESS PASSWORD
1
DOWNLOAD WIRELESSKEYVIEW. If you can’t remember your wireless password, you can run WirelessKeyView to retrieve it. You can find it for free at NirSoft’s website. This freeware utility will display the wireless keys stored on your computer. Note: You cannot use this program to get the keys for an unknown wireless network unless you install the program on a computer that is connected to it.
2
COPY DOWN THE KEY. It is listed in the Key (Ascii) column. If there are multiple networks listed, write down the key for the network you want to connect to. Scroll over and make a note of the Authentication. Most devices detect the authentication automatically, but some older devices may need to have the correct one selected.
METHOD 2 OF 2: CONNECTING YOUR TABLET
1
OPEN YOUR SETTINGS. Press the menu button on your device and tap Settings. 2
TURN ON THE WI-FI. To activate the Wi-Fi on your phone, swipe the Wi-Fi switch to ON. This can be found under “Wireless and network.” Tap the Wi-Fi button to enter the settings. 3
CONNECT TO THE NETWORK. Select the network that you wish to connect to. Enter the password that you recovered in the first section. Tap Connect. You can select Show Password if you want to see the password as you enter it.
Make sure that you enter the password exactly. Passwords are case-sensitive.
